In July, 2014, a group from Resurrection Fellowship Church helped repair the playground at Providence Park. Originally a project developed by town clerk Lee Ann Clement, she was very happy to see the playground receive the repairs.
Terrell River Services donated the red paint, and also provided the use of their tools. A group of youth from Lake Providence participating in Kids Across America camp (in association with Eliot’s Purse Foundation) also helped with the repairs.
The swings, monkey bars, and merry-go-round were repaired, teeter-totters were re-built, and a new tire swing was added. A high quality swivel was ordered for the tire swing, and local locksmith Tim Hamilton assisted with the installation.
